Earlier this month, FCM Travel Solutions announced its newest major acquisition, joining forces with the South India-based firm Travel Tours Group to extend its reach into the nascent Indian market. The company brings to the table nearly 40 years’ worth of travel experience, as well as numerous distinct sub-brands that serve the leisure and business sectors across the world. They also function as a wholesaler for a whopping 19 different international brands within India itself—together, these connections and services offer FCM an unprecedented level of reach into what is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing travel markets in the world.
Their Managing Director, Shravan Gupta, will now be joining FCM’s board while also taking control of TTG’s leisure business. Alongside Travel Tours itself, the acquisition also brings in their other brands: Travel Air, Travel Air Representations, Splendour Holidays, Go Avenues, and mustseeindia.com, all of which will be leveraged to aid FCM’s operations in India going forward. The merger comes hot on the heels of FCM’s launch of the Corporate Traveler brand in India, and the combination of these developments promises to greatly increase the companies' reach in South Asia, benefiting thousands of potential new clients and helping contribute to the development of one of the world’s most rapidly growing markets.
